Peschaud company launches intensive training for captains and marine engineers for 40 young people in Port-Gentil –

This is a training program that has already benefited 16 agents, including 14 from the citizen company Peschaud, at the Higher Institute of Maritime Studies (ISEM) in Casablanca, Morocco. This training was based on the following themes: ship captains whose gross tonnage is less than or equal to 500 UMS; ship engineer officers whose propulsive power is less than or equal to 750 kW; ship engineer officers whose propulsive power is less than or equal to 3000 kW. This first wave of maritime officers and mechanics underwent intensive theoretical and practical training, as well as practical training both on board ships and ports but also through the simulators and laboratories available to the Institute.

“This initiative aims to train future 500 UMS captains and 750 kW mechanics, highly qualified and internationally recognized profiles in order to strengthen the company’s crews”informs the management of the company Peschaud.

Wanting to be a local hub in the field of maritime training for its agents, Peschaud has placed training at the heart of its concerns. Thus, this first wave, by obtaining their sesame, is, from the only energy on board (diesel, gas), responsible for the proper functioning of the machines which provide 24/7 the mechanical and electrical energies essential to the operation and operation of the ship. Also, it must ensure the main engine without failure, the propulsion of the ship and provide the auxiliary engines with electricity for all the installations on board.

“Thanks to their hard work and ambition, the first learners brilliantly passed their exams and obtained their diplomas,” welcomes the general management of Peschaud which announces very good news for Gabonese youth.

“Building on this success, the company is continuing its commitments and preparing a new wave of sailors who will soon be flying to ISEM,” she specifies.

Indeed, passionate about sea-related professions and aspiring to follow a maritime career, PESCHAUD provides Gabonese with 44 positions to fill. This training is aimed at people holding a 500 UMS captain’s certificate or a 750 kW mechanic’s certificate. And to apply, the company provides its mailbox: recrutement.rhgabon@peschaud.fr

For people with experience in the maritime field or those without a diploma (Certificate), the PESCHAUD company aims to support these people in obtaining their certifications, in particular through training supporting their skills, with the obtaining of the Certificate as has already been the case with the external candidates selected to date.
