In a great game with a comeback included, Peru beat Argentina this Friday to win gold in women’s volleyball at the Odesur Games 2022 celebrated in Paraguay. The bicolor team won 3-2 and the country now has 72 medals in the contest.

The national sextet was down 2-1 at the close of the third set and closed convincingly to win on Court 1 of the Sports Park of the Paraguayan Volleyball Federation (FPV).

Those directed by Francisco Hervás were imposed one day before the closing of the XII South American Games ASU-2022, where Peru adds its nineteenth gold medal in the competition.

The victory also makes Peru the highest gold winner in women’s volleyball in the history of the Odesur Games.
