PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is still holding the price of non-subsidized fuel oil (BBM), namely the Pertamax series and Dex series, so that it does not increase in July 2024.

Quoted from the official Pertamina website Monday (1/7), the price of Pertamina fuel is Pertamax IDR 12,950 per liter, Pertamax Green 95 IDR 13,900 per liter, Pertamax Turbo IDR 14,400 per liter, Dexlite IDR 14,550 per liter, and Pertamina Dex IDR 15,100 per liter.

This price applies to the Java region and regions with a motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) of 5%.

The price of Pertalite remains at IDR 10,000 per liter and applies throughout Indonesia.

Thus, Pertamina is still holding the prices of subsidized and non-subsidized fuel until July 2024.

Pertamina has been holding back fuel price increases, both subsidized and non-subsidized, since early 2024.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif revealed the consideration of maintaining stable fuel prices until June 2024, namely to support the economic recovery of the community following the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, the volatility of world oil prices, the escalation of conflict in the Middle East, and the weakening of the rupiah exchange rate once morest the US dollar have caused domestic fuel subsidy compensation and budgets to swell.

Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Irto Ginting said that Pertamina is reviewing the possibility of adjusting the price of non-subsidized fuel. “This is what we are reviewing,” said Irto.

Until now, the adjustment of non-subsidized fuel prices is still under evaluation. (Ant)
