Austria (OTS) – The Austrian Journalists Club (ÖJC) unfortunately sees its perception confirmed once once more that personal attacks on journalists are increasing and are no longer reaching an acceptable level.

“Media representatives not only have to physically fear for their physical integrity during public appearances, but the psychological stress is now also increasing alarmingly. The protection of journalists must include both physical and psychological risks,” said ÖJC President Ing. Norbert Welzl.

The ÖJC wishes industry colleague Alexandra Föderl-Schmid the best recovery and is deeply concerned regarding her personal situation.

The ÖJC has noticed this worrying development for some time and is therefore offering its members 24-hour emergency psychological initial care from a renowned service provider.
