Persona 5 Royal on Nintendo Switch is three times smaller than the PS4 version

Persona 5 Royal will finally arrive on Nintendo Switch on October 21st.

This morning, we learn via the Japanese eShop that Persona 5 Royal Nintendo Switch version will weigh 12.5 GB. That’s a considerable size, but surprisingly, it’s about 3 times smaller than the same game on PS4.

Persona 5 Royal on the hybrid console will feature the same content as the other versions, so nothing is cut gameplay-wise or story-wise. So one wonders how the file size difference between PS4 and Nintendo Switch can be so big, but surely the answer is the resolution, because the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode only supports 720, which means that the quality of some items may have been reduced.
