OeMAG issued 22,000 tickets within 30 minutes – demand in categories A and B is still high

Vienna/Bregenz (OTS) The federal government has significantly increased funding for the expansion of photovoltaic systems and electricity storage for the year 2023. 600 million euros are available for investment grants, twice as many as last year.

In the third and penultimate funding call for 2023, OeMAG has 60 million euros available (of which 45 million euros for category A and 15 million euros for category B); additional subsidies are processed via the climate and energy fund (KLIEN).

The funding call for investment funding for photovoltaic systems and electricity storage according to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EAG) was successfully opened on August 23, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., and 22,000 tickets were drawn in the first 30 minutes.

Photovoltaic systems and electricity storage can contribute to the decarbonization of the energy system by generating and storing renewable energy. At the same time, they make a contribution to reducing Austria’s dependence on fossil fuels.

“Each solar power plant is an important step towards driving the energy transition faster and more effectively. We at OeMAG are pleased to be able to play a key role in this path as a competent processing agency!” said the board members of OeMAG, Dr. Horst Brandlmaier and MMag. Gerhard Rothlin.

Applicants have the next two weeks to complete their application. Until then, it is still possible to draw a ticket.

The control of the funding applications begins following the end of the two-week completion period. The first results will be announced followingwards.

As part of this call, private individuals can also apply for funding for classic rooftop systems with an output of up to 20 kWp. Applications that cannot be covered by the OeMAG funding budget are forwarded to the additional funding channel of KLIEN. Provided that the applicants have agreed to the forwarding and have not applied for an award for an “innovative system”.

The last call this year starts on October 9th, 2023. Applicants whose applications might not be covered in previous funding calls can resubmit.
