Persistent is expanding its leadership team to support ambitious growth plans

Santa Clara, California and Pune, India (ots/PRNewswire) Persistent Systems (BSE: PERSISTENT) and (NSE: PERSISTENT), a global leader in digital engineering and business modernization, is pleased to announce the addition of four seasoned industry professionals to its leadership team. These leaders bring unique skills to help realize the company’s full customer impact potential.

According to Banerjee joined at the beginning of this quarter as head of strategy and growth. He has diverse experience in the technology sector and combines a unique mix of operational expertise with consulting experience. Ayon will be responsible for shaping and implementing Persistent’s corporate strategy. Additionally, he will provide leadership across non-linear growth, mergers and acquisitions, investments, growth through private equity channels and comprehensive contracting to drive Persistent’s next phase of expansion. In his most recent position as Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group, Ayon worked closely with various IT and engineering services clients worldwide to formulate strategies and accelerate growth.

Dhanashree Bhat joined Persistent today as operational managing director. She will lead the IT, administration and facilities, learning and development, corporate risk management, ESG (environmental, social and governance) and service excellence departments. She has a diverse experience in various leadership roles at Tech Mahindra over the last twenty years. In her most recent role, she was Chief Delivery Officer of the Communications, Media and Telecom (CMT) group. Danashree is an advocate for women in tech, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and education for girls. Danashree will contribute to further strengthening Persistent’s service quality with her consistent service delivery and extensive operational experience.

Rajiv Sodhi joined Persistent last quarter as senior vice president of hyperscaler business and strategic partnerships. In this role, he will be responsible for scaling global go-to-market strategies with leading hyperscalers and enhancing Persistent’s position as the preferred industry partner working with leading technology providers worldwide. Rajiv has extensive experience at Microsoft, where he led global market strategy, ecosystem alliances and business transformation initiatives for over 16 years and also served as Chief Operating Officer for Microsoft India. Previously, he was the Managing Director of GoDaddy India and helped the company achieve an established position and growth in India and Australia.

Sumit Arora will now assume responsibility for establishing and leading the consulting department as senior vice president. He brings extensive experience in consulting and technology services to Persistent. He will play a critical role in helping clients design modernization strategies of their core business, with a strong focus on improving customer service and digital skills. Prior to joining Persistent, Sumit was senior vice president of corporate payments strategy and planning at Wells Fargo.
