So far no casualties have been reported. The Mess was currently closed. It was to reopen on August 29. Chef Julien Hermida, formerly of Paul Payret, is at the head of an establishment bought by Abi-Nadir Chukri 18 months ago. The businessman is also the owner of eleven commercial premises in the Cloche d’Or, where he has stopped all renovation work for months. Since then, a conflict opposes it to the City of Perpignan which does not want a project of takeover by investors carrying a project including in particular halal signs.
