perpetrators on the run: Law & Order employee shot dead in New York
A crew member of “Law & Order” has been shot in the New York borough of Brooklyn. An episode of the popular TV series should have been filmed there a little later.
A production worker was shot dead at a filming location for the well-known US series “Law & Order”. The 31-year-old was attacked by a stranger around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday while he was in a car parking a parking space in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood, police said.
The perpetrator opened the door and opened fire. The perpetrator is a rather thin and small man in a hooded sweatshirt, who then ran away from the crime scene. According to police, the man was unconscious following being shot in the head and neck several times. He was taken to a hospital where he was eventually pronounced dead.
In the “Law & Order” series, homicide detectives investigate homicides. The background to the crime initially remained unclear.
Due to lax gun laws, among other things, there are regularly fatalities and injuries from firearms in the USA. Gun crime has also recently increased in the US east coast metropolis of New York. A lot of filming takes place in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn due to the TV studios located there. Some residents are also upset because of the tense parking situation.
