A shooter apparently killed two men in a Dutch fast food restaurant. Panic breaks out among the guests. A large contingent of police is currently looking for the attacker.

A man shot dead two people in a fast food restaurant in the Netherlands. “Two people have been killed in a gun incident,” the Dutch police said on Twitter. According to radio station RTL Oost, an attacker opened fire at a McDonald’s branch in the city of Zwolle around 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening, killing two restaurant customers. The perpetrator was able to escape.

The manhunt continues. the police write on Twitter that they are also looking for witnesses to the incident. Video footage showed a helicopter circling over the crime scene, which was cordoned off with police tape.

Witnesses told the broadcaster RTL Oost that the attacker apparently “aimed” at his two victims. Accordingly, the attacker first ordered something to eat and sat down at a table opposite the two guests. When the man shot, a “massive panic” broke out among the guests, RTL Oost reported further. “Everyone tried to flee outside”. Rescue workers reportedly tried unsuccessfully to revive one of the two victims.

The police initially gave no information on the possible motive of the attacker or the identities of the two victims. According to reports, the victims were of Turkish-Dutch origin.
