Pernía crushed his rivals and won in Termas

Leonel Pernía had a devastating walk, crushed his rivals and won the final of the TC2000 and the first date of the Challenge Pirelli 150 years in Termas de Río Hondo.

The final began with Pernía at the head of the peloton, escorted by Canapino, who jumped from fourth to second place. Third came Milla, fourth Montenegro and fifth Barrio. While he had to leave Ardusso with the Honda.

In the fourth lap, Barrio tried to overtake Montenegro, they touched and Santero took advantage of this situation to beat his teammate and jump to fifth place. While sixth was Yannantuoni, winner of Saturday’s Sprint.

With 26 minutes to go, Santero was able to break Montenegro’s resistance and became the new fourth. On lap 12, Barrio left Yannantuoni behind and climbed to sixth place.

Later, Barrio tried to pass Montenegro in a tight maneuver and this was used by Yannantuoni to break them. But the Pinamar rider recovered and he was able to stay ahead of the Honda rider.

On lap 18, Spataro passed Llaver on the outside and climbed to ninth place. Moments later, the driver from Lanús was delayed due to problems with the Fiat.

Finally it was an overwhelming victory for Pernía in Termas de Río Hondo, escorted by Canapino, Milla, Santero and completed the best five Jorge Barrio. Further back were Yannantuoni, Montenegro, Cravero, Llaver and Bernardo Llaver closed the top ten.

The next date of the TC2000 will be on July 3 at the “Oscar Cabalén” racetrack in Alta Gracia.
