Peristeri started the match strong and, taking advantage of Aris’ three-pointers’ failure (1/8 in the first half), managed to take a double-digit lead, which it held until halftime (42-32).
In the second half, Aris managed to reduce to 47-43 at 23 minutes, but Vassilis Spanoulis’ team with a 6-0 run brought the difference back to double digits (53-43), to close the quarter with the home team at +12 (63-51).
In the end, Aris proved that he didn’t have the strength for something better and Peristeri with individual scores of 21-11 in the fourth quarter easily reached the victory with the final 84-62.
The first scorer of the winners was Joe Ragland with 23 points (11 assists), while Elijah Mitrou-Long had 14 points and Nemanja Dangubic had 12 points. For Aris, Vasilis Toliopoulos had 14 points, Ronnie Harrell had 13 and Ismael Sanogo 10 points.
