Main responsibilities
Relevailles
Relevailles is a respite service, adapted to the reality of each family, which is aimed at all families who have a child aged 12 months and under or at pregnant people who are experiencing a risky pregnancy.
The perinatal worker must recognize the expertise of parents regarding their children and must act according to their values and their way of life, while protecting the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of families. through professional and human care.
The main tasks carried out in families by the perinatal worker are:
- Travel to the homes of the families assigned to them;
- Demonstrate active and non-judgmental listening to families;
- Provide care to babies or siblings aged 5 and under;
- Provide babysitting for babies and siblings aged 5 and under;
- Do light household chores;
- Support parents in preparing meals as needed;
- Accompany the parent(s) to a medical appointment;
- Offer breastfeeding support, an asset;
- Make appointments with families and provide reminders the day before appointments.
Facilitating birth and parenthood preparation meetings
