Last January, Disney+ finally formalized the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians adapted from the books of Rick Riordan. the filming of the first episodes takes place in June but the casting has still not been communicated, which does not prevent regular information on the progress of pre-production. Two Marvel series directors join the Percy Jackson series
According to the newspaper Migdard Times, Jet Wilkinson and Anders Welstrom will each stage one or more episodes of Percy Jackson.
The first made series like Avatar : The Last Arbeinder as well as the series Marvel / Netflix, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Iron Fist and The Punisher. The second staged the episodes of the series Apple TV+ Seethe Amazon series Hanna and the series Marvel Helstrom who only had one season on HULU.
The newspaper states that James Bobin would be the main director of Percy Jackson since he should direct at least four episodes out of the eight ordered. The filming of the series should last eight months from June 1 to January 25, 2023 if we are to believe the information of Production Insights. The casting has not yet been announced but unofficially, it would be closed.
Series Percy Jackson follows a 12-year-old boy who learns he is a demigod. He has just come to terms with his new supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his precious lightning bolt to give to Poseidon. Now Percy must cross America to find him and restore order to Olympus. If renewed for multiple seasons, then the series will address each new book for each season.
No launch date for the series has been set and no casting has been announced. Riordan, Steinberg, Shotz and Coil will serve as executive producers with Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell and DJ Goldberg du Gotham Group.
