Pepín is being investigated for “the alleged existence of acts carried out by public officials, from the highest echelons of the National Executive Power or at their request, who through harassment and financial suffocation towards the companies of the Indalo Groupthey would have imported cases of corruption“, a case carried out by the federal judge Mary Servini.
Within the framework of this file, Servini summoned him for questioning on several occasions, to which did not show up. Finally, Pepín stayed in Uruguay alleging that he would not return because he considered himself a “politically persecuted”.
For this reason, the judge requested his international capture and Interpol issued a red alert to locate and arrest him.
Rodríguez Simón has been a fugitive since December 8, 2020.
