After working for more than four decades in the television company, this March 6 he announced that he would undertake other projects, consequently he would stop collaborating with TUDN. The news took several followers of “Los Tres Amigos” by surprise, since in the most recent edition of the Super Bowl, Pepe Segarra was one of the featured commentators on the coverage and charismatic for his contributions.
The experienced commentator would have made the decision to start new projects, which would involve saying goodbye to Televisa. So, following 42 years collaborating in the Azcárraga family company, Don Pepe said goodbye to everyone with whom he collaborated over the years.

It was through social networks that José Segarra shared the decision he made regarding his professional career and what lies ahead at his 69 years of age.
Without giving great details of the new project he will undertake, he limited himself to thanking those who inform him for their support. He recalled the years he has as a sports journalist and what he has experienced with TUDN, since from Televisa Deportes he has participated in coverage of the Super Bowl, the Olympic Games and analysis of the MLB.

On his official Twitter account (now X), Pepe Segarra revealed this news of his departure from Televisa. He also emphasized the excitement generated by starting this new era in his career as a sports commentator. True to his style, this was the message he shared:

“My children, I have something to tell you… After a career of more than 42 years at Televisa, a company to which I am extremely grateful and in which I have lived unforgettable moments, I am regarding to begin a new challenge that excites me very much and in the I hope you will join me.”
In a second publication he added that in the coming days he will share more details of what is coming. “I can assure you one thing… we are going to have fun!! I’ll tell you soon,” wrote the 69-year-old journalist.
Julio Ibañez was one of the first to react to the news, so he dedicated some emotional words to him for his decision: “Pepillo, I wish you the best in whatever comes next, a career like yours is an absolute inspiration. A hug”. Alberto Lati also expressed his admiration for his extensive career in the media: “Congratulations on your great work, dearest Pepe. Your career is legendary. Much success in what follows!”
