With his death we have lost a man who dedicated much of his life to public service As a former Lieutenant-Governor, the Mattersburg native played a key role in shaping Burgenland and left his political signature. “Franz Sauerzopf served as a judge for many years, most recently as President of the Senate of the Eisenstadt District Court. In addition to his legal work, he was active in local and state politics – serving as a member of the state parliament and Deputy Governor of Burgenland.
