The Klessheim regulars’ table of former students of the Klessheim Tourism School has existed since 2007. Every year the alumni organize a gingerbread sale during Advent to collect donations for charitable organizations. Last Advent, the hobby bakers and six active students organized the first Christmas market in aid of the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid on the new campus of the Klessheim Tourism School. 1,600 euros were raised for children’s cancer aid projects.

The Salzburg electrical wholesaler Gebrüder Limmert AG, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, has been a supporter of the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid for many years. This year the traditional company is donating 5,000 euros. “For a hundred years, Gebrüder Limmert AG has stood for quality, flexibility and fairness. We would like to live this philosophy outside of the company too. It is therefore particularly important to us to support organizations such as the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid in their work,” says the board of directors Gebrüder Limmert AG, Thomas Canek, handing over the donations.

As part of a lecture regarding the dramatic situation in Lebanon by Stefan Maier, project coordinator of the Christian Orient Initiative (ICO), chairman Fritz Ortner handed over 1,000 euros from the Maxglan Boy Scouts Guild’s social fund. The visitors to the lecture donated an additional 838 euros to the Christian Orient Initiative. The money is used to initiate aid projects, such as soup kitchens for the poor population.
