Parking credential for people 60+ can now be issued by CDT
More mobility for you. AA Digital Traffic Card has just made a new feature available: the issuance of parking passes for people aged 60 or over (people 60+). Without having to leave the comfort of their homes or access another website or platform, those entitled to the document can generate it directly in the app. In addition to individual requirements, issuance can only be made with the adhesion of the respective transit agency.

“This is another feature available by CDT, which aims to become a wide range of services, offering more facilities to users every day”, stated the national secretary of Traffic, Adrualdo Catão.
According to Senatran, today, there are around 100 cities registered in the functionality and the Secretariat also highlights that, as determined by law, it is issued by the CDT or the Agency Services Portalyou need to print the document and place it on the vehicle dashboard.

Issuing the credential through the Digital Transit Card reduces bureaucracy related to transit services in the country. All validations are carried out through the application, simplifying the approval process. Brazilian citizens save time by eliminating the need to travel to the transit agency, doing everything in the comfort of their own home. And still counting on the accessibility of CDT, an application that is intuitive and easy to use, allowing everyone to make the most of this new functionality.
“The team behind this innovation prioritized accessibility, ensuring that even those with less technological experience can enjoy the benefits of this functionality,” said End Customer Relationship Superintendent, Brenno Sampaio. “We invite all citizens, especially those over 60, to explore this new functionality and enjoy the benefits of more simplified and accessible mobility”, he encouraged.
The credential requirement
The Parking Pass is a mandatory document for the use of special parking spaces, intended for people aged 60 or over, as well as for people with physical disabilities. These vacancies are indicated by painting on the floor or signs, both on the streets and in public places, as well as in shops, shopping malls, hospitals and other establishments.
Vehicles parked in reserved spaces must display the credential on the vehicle dashboard, or in a visible location for inspection purposes. The use of vacancies in disagreement constitutes an infraction provided for in Article 181, item XVII of the CTB. The list of bodies participating in issuing credentials can be consulted here.
Senatran is also working so that people who are not on the National Driving License Registry (Renach), that is, are not drivers of motor vehicles, can also request their elderly parking credential.

The new feature is now available at CDT under the “Driver” item on the home screen. Within this session, the “Parking Credential” option will appear. Then, a screen will appear explaining what the credential is and the button to issue it. At this time, there is a reminder that you must have a Silver or Gold account with Gov.Br.
Next, you must select the “Download Credential” option. On the next screen, the app displays the terms and conditions for using the credential, which you must read and, once you agree, confirm that you agree, and then click the “download elderly credential” button.
This way, the credential will appear with all the information that makes it up and the QR Code. You can share the document (or save it on your device) for printing. And that’s it, you can now keep the credential in the recommended location on your vehicle.
