A spokesperson for the US Department of Defense confirmed:PentagonJohn Kirby announced that the United States of America will deploy six Navy aircraft and 240 personnel to Germany to support NATO forces, according to Russia Today.
“These aircraft and forces will be deployed in line with our efforts to enhance NATO’s deterrence and defense capabilities along the eastern flank,” the Pentagon spokesperson added, noting that they were not dispatched because of the type of acute threat that was detected or because of a specific incident.
A US Defense Department spokesman said the planes bound for Germany are specialized in electronic warfare and jamming sensors, and that they will not be used against Russian forces in Ukraine.
