It applies not only to pensions, but also disability pensions, family and social pensions, compensation benefits for teachers and various supplements to these benefits, e.g. care allowance. All of them will be increased by the above-mentioned indexation rate of 12.12%.

Minimum pension, thirteenth pension. How much will they be from March 1?
Survivor pension, total incapacity pension and social pension will also increase from PLN 1,588.44 to PLN 1,780.96 gross per month.
The lowest pension for partial incapacity for work will not increase that much – it will increase to PLN 1,335.72.
The increase in pensions and annuities is based on two key indicators. The first is the so-called pension inflation, which for 2023 amounted to 11.9%. The second is the increase in real wages, which for the same year was 1.1%.
How will other benefits increase?
The honorary benefit for centenarians will be increased to PLN 6,246.13 per month. It will increase energy lump sum, which will amount to almost PLN 300 from March 1.
Allowance for a complete orphan up to PLN 620.36, care allowance and allowance for clandestine teaching – up to PLN 330.07, care allowance for war invalids – up to PLN 495 11 gr.
Too the amount which, if exceeded, deprives the right to a supplementary benefit will increase to PLN 2,419.33.
This benefit, not exceeding PLN 500 per month, is available to persons over 18 years of age who are incapable of living independently.

New recipes. Changes from March 1
Significant changes in prescriptions also come into force on March 1. Experts describe the new regulations as revolutionary. It’s regarding the so-called annual prescriptions. The method of calculating the amount of medicine intended for the patient will be automated.
Until now, the regulations were designed in such a way that a patient who had prescribed medications for the entire year still had to visit the pharmacy at least three times. The pharmacist dispensing medicines always checks how many products the patient can receive. In practice, however, the math was not so simple – mainly due to the different number of doses in the packages.
From March 1 – at least in theory – pharmacies will have a tool at their disposal will count medications on its own, which will streamline the entire process. The efficiency of the system has not yet been tested on such a scale, so we will find out whether and how it works when patients go to the counters.
How much can you earn towards your pension? New thresholds from March 1, 2024.
March 1 is also the date on which they enter into force new thresholds for people earning pensions. The fact that they cannot achieve unlimited income is nothing new. But the limit amounts have changed.
Let us remind you: if the revenue exceeds certain thresholds – 70%. and 130 percent average monthly salary, ZUS may reduce or suspend the benefit paid.
Thus, from March 1, 2024, earnings up to PLN 5,278.30 gross per month will not reduce the benefit.
But who will earn more than that? PLN 9,802.50 gross per month, he must take into account the suspension of his pension or disability pension.
The new thresholds will apply until May 31, 2024. After this date, they will change once more.
A micro raise for village headmen
From March 1, the allowance for village heads will increase. For people performing this function, the indexation of the benefit means an increase of PLN 36 and 36 groszy – from PLN 300 in 2023 to PLN 336.36 in 2024.
