Peloton’s November Highlights: Global Power Zone Ride & Christian Vande Velde Classes

Peloton’s dedicated fans of endurance-based and power zone cycling classes have an exciting lineup of sessions coming their way in November, with something for everyone to anticipate.

Highlighting the month, Peloton will host its inaugural “Global” Power Zone ride, setting a new benchmark for the community.

The class will span an impressive 120 minutes—the longest duration available in Peloton’s current roster of classes—and is slated for November 16. Matt Wilpers will spearhead the session from Peloton Studios New York (PSNY), while the vibrant and energetic Hannah Frankson will command the class at Peloton Studios London (PSL). Both sessions will occur simultaneously, creating a unique experience with members precisely in sync at each studio.

As of now, details about the format of this global Power Zone ride remain somewhat vague. However, there is speculation that the class could adopt an innovative two-for-one style format, featuring instructors alternating between the two studios or perhaps even providing a dual-view of both settings for an interactive experience.

Currently, Peloton offers approximately one 120-minute Power Zone ride each quarter, making this event particularly significant as it marks the first time the class will not be exclusively taught by Matt Wilpers, showcasing the collaboration of multiple acclaimed instructors.

Additionally, the renowned Alex Reed cycling instructor Christian Vande Velde will make a highly anticipated return to PSNY for a series of engaging classes during the weekend of November 15-17, 2024.

The two classes became available for in-person booking for members on October 31, and the schedule is as follows:

  • 60 min. Pro Cyclist: Race Simulation – Christian Vande Velde – 11/15/24 @ 6:30am ET
  • 45 min. Real Routes Ride – Christian Vande Velde – 11/17/24 @ 2:00pm ET

This upcoming weekend will feature the second installment in Christian’s innovative “Real Routes” series, which was first introduced last month. This particularly engaging series immerses riders in real-world rides, with instructors guiding them through diverse scenic routes throughout the class. The inaugural session explored Col du Galibier, an iconic segment from the Tour de France, setting high expectations. Although the theme for the subsequent class is yet to be announced, updates are anticipated to be reflected in the forthcoming schedule.

There is a strong possibility that Christian will also take advantage of his visit to record several additional classes, which are expected to be released later as premiere or on-demand sessions. Historically, he has recorded a selection of classes during previous studio visits, adding even more exciting content for Peloton enthusiasts.

Peloton’s much-anticipated global Power Zone ride and the new classes with Christian Vande Velde scheduled for the weekend of November 15-17, 2024.

The weekend of November 15-17 is shaping up to be a thrilling period for power zone and endurance riders.
