Between December 11th and 29th, state-owned ferry operator Pelni played a crucial role in facilitating this homecoming, transporting a staggering 366,002 passengers.Key Travel Routes and Departure Points
The busiest routes during this peak travel period included the Batam–Belawan, Belawan–Batam, and makassar–Bau Bau ferry lines. The KM Dorolonda embarked from Jakarta, its decks teeming with 1,200 passengers bound for Papua. the ship’s journey included stops at Surabaya, Makassar, Ambon, and Bau-Bau, offering a scenic route for travelers heading to the easternmost reaches of Indonesia.
