In implementing this program, Pelindo also introduced ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance) aspects, especially in the environmental aspect, through the plastic waste recycling initiative. The recycled products, in the form of pouches from plastic bottles, were given to students who participated in the Pelindo Mengajar Program.

“We hope that students and teachers can understand how the port industry contributes to sustainable development,” he said.

The Pelindo Mengajar 2024 program reaches more than 150 students in each school. Overall, this program involves 64 teachers consisting of the Directors and Commissioners of the Pelindo Group, starting from the Pelindo Head Office, Regional Office leaders, Subholding Directors, to Pelindo’s subsidiaries.
