The contest had a high difficulty, which the unpredictable weather in the area further complicated, forcing the competitors to change tires due to the mud while the day before in training, the ground was completely dry: “It was a strategic challenge when choosing what was best, in making decisions and in how to face the race with the type of conditions that might touch us”, commented Pedro Burns, Red Bull athlete.

The podium was completed by Mario Jarrin and Gato Valdivieso, two world champions. “I am too happy. It is a super important championship. I won within a range of renowned riders from all countries. I dropped 5 seconds from my time in training and the podium was beautiful, with the best downhill riders”, said the athlete excitedly, who will continue with a busy schedule of sports competitions.
