Pedro Acosta can’t wait to pave the Jerez Circuit, Spain – 2024-04-26 19:32:27

Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 RACER Pedro Acosta admits that he is ready to take part in his first home race in the main MotoGP class at the Jerez Circuit, Spain, Sunday (28/4).

Acosta said he did not feel any pressure at all ahead of the race at the Jerez Circuit later. The 19 year old racer is now the youngest racer to win consecutive podiums in MotoGP.

“The first race at home came at a very good time. We have just achieved two podiums in a row and I can’t wait to race in Jerez,” said Acosta.

“I don’t have any pressure. “What I have is the desire to perform on the track in front of the best fans in the world,” he added.

Acosta stated that the Jerez Circuit is one of his favorite places. Moreover, he said that his team had tested several motorbikes in Jerez.

“It’s true that Jerez is one of my favorite circuits, and what’s more, our test team has trained a lot here so I’m sure the bike will work well,” said Acosta.

“We also know the fact that the RC16 worked well at Jerez looking at the 2023 results and that motivates me even more to try my hardest since Friday in the first session. “We’ll see what happens, see you there,” he added.

Meanwhile, Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 manager Nicolas Goyon said Acosta had shown his quality as a MotoGP racer. He also hopes that Acosta will again be able to reap positive results in his home race later.

“From the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 team, Pedro Acosta has started the season very well, with two podium finishes and one start on the front row, and it is now quite clear that he is already at a high level in the premier class,” said Nicolas.

“Last season in Moto2, he was on the podium, so this is a layout he likes, and we are very excited to see what he can do this week at home,” he concluded. (Crash/Z-1)
