AFTER releasing the EP Honey last March, South Korean indie musician Peach Luffe is finally back with a new single, Just A Thread.

Released via Nettwerk, this upbeat track combines soft violin strains and is accompanied by some indie rock instrumentation and elements.

In addition to releasing the original version, Peach Luffe also shared an acoustic version of her latest single, which in terms of arrangement, highlights her vocals accompanied by her violin.

Just A Thread was written, produced and mastered by Jong Lee, with contributions from Peach Luffe band member Michael Friedman and frequent collaborator Yifan Wu.

Jong Lee said, “The process of working on this song was fun. Over the past few months, we had a lot of fun experimenting in the studio with the violin as the main instrument in an upbeat indie pop song. I’m glad I can finally share this song with everyone. This song is about the feeling of not feeling happy with yourself. Over time, there are moments where we can become numb and wonder how we can ever get back to being who we used to be.”

Peach Luffe is the vision of Jong Lee, a classically trained violinist born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Buffalo, New York, and now based in Toronto, Canada.

Known for his signature pop music that can lull people into daydreams, Jong relies on his background in classical music to build soundscapes that ultimately captivate his music listeners.

Peach Luffe started as a solo project born from Jong’s bedroom during the pandemic and slowly grew into a serious musical project.

Peach Luffe’s first EP, Shimmer, was released in 2020, followed by her first album in 2022 titled Everything is Peachy, and she has released 5 other EPs including Honey. (Z-1)
