Peach Airlines announced today that it will restart the Osaka-Taoyuan route from September 16, with two flights per week initially. Peach Aviation issued a press release through its general agent in Taiwan and started selling Osaka-Taoyuan air tickets at 1 pm today.
Affected by the epidemic, Peach Airlines has suspended flights to Taiwan twice, and the Osaka-Taoyuan route has been suspended for regarding a year and a half since April 8, 2021, and restarted operations once more.
Peach Airlines was established in March 2012. In October 2012, it opened flights to Taiwan, and made its first flight to Osaka-Taoyuan. After that, it also opened flights to Tokyo (Haneda)-Taoyuan, Tokyo (Narita)-Taoyuan, Okinawa-Taoyuan, Fukuoka-Taoyuan, Sendai-Taoyuan , Hokkaido-Taoyuan, Tokyo (Narita)-Kaohsiung, Osaka-Kaohsiung, Okinawa-Kaohsiung, Peach has 10 routes in Taiwan, which is the most among Peach’s international routes.
Peach Airlines said the Osaka-Taoyuan route is the second international route to restart following the Osaka-Seoul route announced last month.
Peach Airlines Executive Director and CEO Kenaki Mori expressed the hope that passengers will travel from all parts of Japan to Taiwan via Kansai Airport, and from Taiwan to all parts of Japan, so that people, things and things between Japan and Taiwan will be more convenient. Peach will gradually resume international flights and expand its international route network, aiming to become a bridge between Asia and Osaka once more at the 2025 World Expo.
