Nicolás Maduro assured this Tuesday in San Carlos, Cojedes state, that the opposition will not be able to tarnish the electoral process of next Sunday, July 28, and assured that whatever they do in Venezuela, “peace will triumph.”
“I know your plans, lie as much as you want, do whatever you want, but peace will triumph in Venezuela and they will not be able to tarnish the electoral process,” said Maduro from the plains state, to close his electoral campaign.
“I am the embodiment of unity, a civic-military police force, and I guarantee the beloved and noble people of Venezuela that they will fail, they will not return, if they dare, it will be the last mistake they make to harm the people, enough of conspiracies of violence, of manipulation,” he said.
He also said that he only responds “to two forces, to two powers”; the first “to the power of God”; while on earth “I only obey the noble and sovereign people of Venezuela, the people standing up, I come from you, and I owe myself to you.”
Maduro, who has said he will win the presidential election, added that he is “a man of the people” and that his formative experiences come from the neighborhoods. “I have not had and do not have pimps, or pimps, or surnames that order me around.”
“Venezuela must decide whether we fall into a dark hole of savage capitalism, or continue together to build a better future with independence,” he said, since for him the opposition is “violence and we are the embodiment of the Bolivarian project. We are peace, stability of the Homeland and of a full society.”
