THE General Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri reminded leaders not to be selfish and only care about their families. This was conveyed in front of the governor and acting governor during the handover of a duplicate heirloom flag.
“Be careful if you are just selfish, be careful if you only want the comfort of yourself and your family,” said Megawati at Balai Samudra, Jakarta, Monday (5/8).
On that occasion, Megawati also touched on the issue of herself who actually speaks the truth. However, she is often called a provocateur. “Well, just talking like this like a provocateur, Ibu Mega is a provocateur. That’s why I asked, what did I do wrong? Nothing,” she said.
The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia emphasized that he only conveyed the truth as a form of love and devotion to the country. He remembered the many sacrifices made by his predecessors.
“I tell the truth because of my love and devotion to this country and because of the sacrifices of so many Indonesian people before and after independence, you must remember those things, brothers,” he said. (J-2)
