During the night of this Wednesday, the PDI confirmed the death of Gustavo Quilaqueo, Seremi of Agriculture of the Araucanía.
The Temuco Homicide Brigade is investigating the circumstances of this death. According to preliminary records, the death would have been caused by an accident inside the home of authority, specifically in a well. His residence was located in Molonhue, in the Teodoro Schmidt commune.
“His loss is irreparable, Gustavo was a great public servant, dedicated and professional.. This is a painful loss for the entire family of the Ministry of Agriculture”, they pointed out from the portfolio directed by Esteban Valenzuela.
The minister stated that “We do not know the cause, we do know of our pain and that of his family before the departure of a professional committed to his whole being“.
Gustavo Quilaqueo was a professor of History, Geography and Civic Education, and had a specialization in Rural Development. Prior to his arrival at the Araucanía Seremi of Agriculture, ran for Constitutional Conventionthrough seats reserved for native peoples.
