The case of the nomination of David Emini, former vice president of the CSM and current member of the national management of the PD, as president of Spininvest, the holding company of Aldo Spinelli, a Genoese port entrepreneur accused of corruption in the investigation that led to the arrest and resignation of Giovanni Toti, has also reached the regional council. Under attack is Ferruccio Sansa, absent from the chamber today due to a family bereavement, who yesterday immediately commented on Facebook: “When I read it I risked an ulcer. But the moment we try to form a coalition we have the right and duty to say one thing, this is not and will never be the policy we want to fight for. We will not be on this path. If the PD wants to demonstrate that it wants change, it must do so immediately”.

Furthermore, this morning, according to Andrea Orlando’s staff, due to a long-standing acquaintance, the former Democratic minister called Ermini to ask him to carefully evaluate the opportunity to resign from the position, believing that this choice could be exposed to misunderstandings and exploitation as is already happening in these hours. Ermini reiterated that this is an exclusively professional position, without any political implications, and assured that the nature of his function, which does not want to affect the trial, will be clarified with concrete actions in the next few hours. Orlando insisted, despite these reassurances, that Ermini evaluate with due care the opportunity to resign. But for now the pressure for the national leader of the Democrats has not borne fruit.
