The political statement was held at the At Thohiriyah Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Pelamunan, Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency, Friday (6/9).

Chairman of the PCNU Serang Regency, Muhamad Robi, said that his party would not mix the organization with practical politics in the upcoming regional elections.

“We agree that it is forbidden by law to use the great name of NU for practical political interests,” said the man known as Gus Robi to JPNN Banten.

Gus Robi ensured that all the guidelines contained in Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) would be carried out.

“We structurally, on behalf of PBNU, play a role in national politics,” he said.

He emphasized that NU members are strictly prohibited from bringing the name of the organization into practical politics.
