PCs are selling less and less well. The fourth quarter of the past year was even the eighth in a row during which sales contracted. While the smartphone market sees the end of the tunnel, with a rebound observed during the last months of 2023, that of the PC continues to suffer from buyers’ disinterest.

During the fourth quarter of last year, the number of PCs sold around the world even recorded its lowest level since 2006. Nevertheless, the firm anticipates a rebound for 2024, thanks to the technological innovations which should see the light of day. “There is positive momentum. 2024 should be a strong year for the evolution of classic PCs and the advancements around gaming PCs which continue to generate enthusiasm in the market,” adds Ryan Reith.
