PC equipped with GeForce RTX 4090 and Core i9-13900K put to work at -53 C

A content creator from China decided to test a desktop under the rigorous Chinese winter, which has registered very low temperatures. Equipped with a video card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and a processor Intel Core i9-13900K, PC turned on a -53 C.

Baka, as she is called, used the ASUS STRIX GPU model and noticed that the liquid inside the Cooler AIO froze, which made it not contribute to the cooling of the entire system, which recorded an operating temperature of -30 °C.

In the tests, it is possible to notice that the machine reached -40 °C, not minimum, with the “hottest” point of the entire operation at -26.8 °C. The performance of the video card’s fans at this point was 40%, with an average speed of 1299 RPM.

already the processor recorded much higher temperatures, around 8 °Coperating at a frequency of 6.18 GHz. After testing is complete, virtually all of theThe PC components had a thin layer of ice on their structures.

Before this test with this powerful machine, Baka reviewed an older desktop with a 2nd/3rd gen Intel CPU on an H61 motherboard. Recorded operating temperatures were around -2 °Ceven without a heatsink.

Also according to the Chinese content producer, no hardware used in testing was damaged, despite the extreme temperatures faced by PCs. However, using the desktop in this scenario for extended periods may not be a good idea.
