Pavlos Polakis crossed the threshold of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court in order to submit two requests for two open … fronts. Pavlos Polakis appealed to justice on the occasion of the acquittal decision in the case of the recruitments in KEELPNO, during the ministry of Adonis Georgiadis, but also his conflict with Athina Linou.
Specifically, Mr. Polakis notified the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court of a petition he filed against everyone responsible for the case with Ms. Linou as the central figure and requested the intervention of the judiciary.
“He must have been involved in the embezzlement of public money of more than 5 million euros. It seems that Ms. Linou, under the guise of charity, has been consuming large amounts of public money from Regions-Municipalities and programs that are described in the petition since 2009. I ask the Prosecutor to do the right thing,” said Mr. Polakis in his statements, who speaking about the KEELPNO case, among other things he noted: “It is a case concerning the embezzlement of public money with illegal appointments of over 250 thousand euros, which Mr. Georgiadis had made in the period 2013-14 and which, despite the findings and the prosecutor’s opinions which irrevocably referred to a trial demonstrating guilt, ultimately the court did not get to the bottom of it. I asked the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court to make the judgment immediately clear, as another such trial for 74 appointments is coming in a very short period of time, with the public damage of more than 1.5 million euros, and the Greek judiciary must stand to the extent of safeguarding public money”.
Finally, when asked about his candidacy for the presidency of SYRIZA, he said that he is the only candidate who has spoken with a specific content and program for SYRIZA “as an official opposition and as a potential government force”.
“I’m waiting to see the rest of the candidates,” he said.
