The Road to Transformation: Lessons from La Cesira
Ah, La Cesira! Pinch me, I must be dreaming! You see, the municipal superintendent, Guillermo Legorburu (just let that mouthful roll off the tongue), was spotted with the departmental legislator, the lovely Victoria Busso. Now, that’s a duo! They could practically sell out arenas with a tour titled “Legislation and Laughter!” But instead, they’re touring a rather mundane—yet crucial—project: paving the town’s arteries. And no, I’m not talking about heart surgery.
Hold onto your hard hats, because we’re diving into the nitty-gritty of a whopping 600 meters of West Boulevard being paved. Yes, six hundred meters! In the age where people can barely commit to six hundred seconds of attention, La Cesira is rolling out asphalt like it’s a red carpet for VIPs. And why, you ask? This glorious stretch links the town to Provincial Route E 50 and is set to transform from a dusty road into an Olympic runway where rural productivity can strut its stuff!
“We are going to have 100% of this entire boulevard paved within a short time, through an investment of more than 500 million pesos, which also includes speed bumps, curbs, and water drains,” declared Mayor Legorburu to Nexos del Sur.
Did you catch that? “100%”! That’s more certainty than my last relationship. Can we take a moment to appreciate the economic magic trick at play here? Over half a billion pesos going into improving roads, speed bumps, curbs (because what’s a road without a good bump?), and water drains! Talk about filling potholes and saving lives—quite literally!
Legorburu went on to say this is something the town has been dreaming of—let’s be honest, it sounds more like a dream we’ve all had about arriving late to an exam. But thanks to some well-timed coordination with Governor and the ministers (maybe a bit too much coffee at meetings?), they’ve paired up like peanut butter and jelly, unless you prefer government and bureaucracy.
“The paving of Boulevard Oeste is one of the kickstarts of the transformation that we have planned for La Cesira,” the mayor confirmed, trailing off to mention an equally thrilling plot twist: the paving of Bolivia Street.
Ah, Bolivia Street! The sequel no one saw coming. I can only imagine the surprises the marketing team is gearing up for! Not only has the mayor promised that this block will also be paved—completing an adventurous 1,500 square meters—but we might as well get popcorn ready for the community updates that are sure to follow. Because what could be more riveting than a bunch of folks watching cement dry? This truly is the stuff of local legends! Perhaps we can finally retire those ‘The Road is Closed’ signs.
Now, let’s keep our eyes peeled for the updates—because if it rains in La Cesira, this paving party may just turn into a slip ‘n slide, and I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready for viral videos of local leaders belly-flopping into a water drain.
In future notes, don’t worry, I promise to keep you posted on all the riveting developments regarding these thrilling works in progress. Until then, let’s raise our glasses (of what, I have no idea, but it better be celebratory) to infrastructure that’s finally keeping up with the dreams of a small town. The municipal superintendent of La Cesira, Guillermo Legorburu, warmly welcomed a visit from departmental legislator Victoria Busso and her government team, who joined him for an extensive tour of the various infrastructure projects currently underway in the town.
Among the most significant initiatives is the ambitious paving of 600 meters of West Boulevard street, a vital thoroughfare that not only connects residents to Provincial Route E 50 but also traverses an important agricultural and rural production area.
“We are excited to announce that soon, we will have 100% of this entire boulevard fully paved, thanks to an investment exceeding 500 million pesos, which will also include the installation of speed bumps, curbs, and drainage systems. This project has the essential collaboration of the Province,” Mayor Legorburu stated to Nexos del Sur.
“This project is one we have envisioned for a long time in La Cesira, and it has become a reality largely due to the dedication of the governor, our ministers, and representatives, along with the collaborative efforts of our team,” emphasized the local leader, who underscored the effective coordination that has enabled the necessary machinery to begin preliminary work.
“The paving of Boulevard Oeste marks the beginning of the significant transformation we have planned for La Cesira,” affirmed the head of the Executive, who also highlighted the paving of a segment of Bolivia Avenue as part of the upcoming projects.
“We are actively working on laying a cement floor on Bolivia Street, the second phase of our paving efforts, which will collectively amount to an impressive 1,500 square meters,” he noted.
In upcoming reports, we will provide additional details on other development projects currently in progress.
