Pavard tested positive for Corona

FC Bayern will have to do without Benjamin Pavard for the time being. As the people of Munich announced on Thursday, the Frenchman tested positive for Corona.

The bad news at FCB doesn’t stop. After Niklas Süle’s muscle fiber tear, another defender, Pavard, is out. The 25-year-old defensive all-rounder tested positive for the Corona virus and the Munich team will be absent for at least a week. He also misses the Bundesliga game once morest Union Berlin next Saturday.

Particularly bitter: For Pavard it is already the second corona infection. The Frenchman tested positive back in February 2021.

Nagelsmann has to improvise on the defensive

Julian Nagelsmann will have to do without two regular players on the defensive once morest Union Berlin. The FCB coach now has to improvise, especially in the center of defence. With Lucas Hernandez and Dayot Upamecano, Nagelsmann only has two regular central defenders left. The two youngsters Tanguy Nianzou and Josip Stanisic might move into the starting eleven once morest Berlin.
