Patricia Maldonado referred to the departure of Jorge “Chino” Navarrete, a 72-year-old comedian who died on Tuesday and who was the communicator’s first cousin.

With deeply regret the death of the artistMaldonado categorically ruled out having had a bad relationship with Navarrete as a result of their opposing political views.

“But he died in the pavilion, he was operated on, he fell a little while ago, he fractured his hip, they went in for surgery and he stayed there, he did not come back,” he added.

“Then, in my opinion it was a very nice game, because you came in to fix something, with hope, and you stayed there, without the suffering, without the pain. He had cancer but he had it pretty well under control,” she maintained.

Later, Maldonado categorically denied having had a bad relationship with the comedian, who following the 1973 coup d’état was detained in Valparaíso as a political prisoner, from where he was transferred to Pisagua.

“While it is true we never had a bad relationship, quite the contrary, so they don’t speculate, and they speculate less with the pain of a family”Maldonado asserted.

“We never had a problem, we had a wonderful childhood, with the Navarretes, the Maldonados, the Gangas (…) I have anecdotes with Chino Navarrete that are wonderful”he explained, assuring that they spent the summer together in Paine.

“We walked through different political paths but we had no problems, we never had a problem, never a yes or a no. So for no reason am I going to allow someone to speculate on our family relationship, because the family relationship that we have has always been private,” he emphasized.
