An artistic spring has set up the “Polyhedron” in its halls since April 26, giving art lovers the highlights and “fragrances” of the most romantic time of the year.
The group exhibition entitled “Ear – For a Spring in the City” includes paintings, sculptures, engravings and ceramic objects, figurative, abstract, or symbolic works. A total of 16 artists capture trees, flowers, landscapes, but also endless feelings of euphoria, hope and eroticism.
In the unique way that art can express it, the “Polyhedron” once once more realizes the opening of nature and the diffusion of Art into the city.
The artists participating in the exhibition are:
Alexandratou Eleftheria, Gribanova Tatiana, Anna Karatza, Kolokythas Vassilis, Tina Kontogli, Kounavi Katerina, Eleni Marinaki, Nikolaou Nikos, Olga Nikolopoulou, Giorgos Siampakoulis, Stefanidi Fotini, Sylikou Konstantina, Philippoulou Emmelia West Virginia.
Among the artists who stand out, is Eleftheria Alexandrou. The well-known painter may have been born in Athens and grew up in Kefalonia, but since 1993 she lives and works in Patras.
As she tells “P”, she remembers herself, drawing since she was a child. Upon her arrival in Patras, she meets the Italian painter Franco Valla and the painting adventure begins. She took classes in design, costume design, art therapy and special education programs.
To date, he has held 9 individual exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. Her works are in private collections, in Greece and abroad.
In the “Polyhedron” group exhibition, he presents works that, as he explains in “P”: “Balance between “flesh” and dream. It is an inner painting journey, an explosion of emotions, which is erased by its single lines and the colors I use.
Colors, patterns and symbols magically lead the viewer on their own personal journey. In his own spacetime. Where innocence lies, beyond oblivion, urging him to follow the path of his heart and become the hero of his own life.”
The exhibition will last until Saturday, June 1st and admission is free to the public.
