The Theater Without Curtains is pleased to present the puppet and 3D shadow show “The Girl Who Asked for a Needle, a Simple Needle” based on the fairy tale of the same name by Christos Boulotis.
The show:
“…a simple needle”… where thought makes the simple complex and destroys human dignity…
Through the world of puppetry, the magic of three-dimensional shadows and original music, through constant alternations of comic and dramatic situations, through the caustic ferocity of the doll, we will travel to an otherworldly state. It is an original-experimental three-dimensional shadow show suitable for all ages.
The Theater Without Curtains, with its responsibility towards the demands of today’s children, brings to life a work by Christos Boulotis, who so artfully knows how to deeply trouble his readers, writing fairy tales that
they entertain and trouble on all levels.
The story of Boulotis teaches how important persistence, courage and the absence of fear are in defending the common good. The heroine draws strength from herself and achieves the “impossible”, giving viewers a lesson in self-esteem.
