George I Square was flooded with color, pulse, freshness, youth and energy on Wednesday 13/03/2024 in the evening during the event “Dance Schools in carnival rhythms”, organized by KEDIP-Patras Carnival as part of the events of Patrinos Carnival 2024 and more than compensated the large audience with the young protagonist, who watched for more than 3 hours with undiminished interest.
The dance schools of the city stood up to their standards, proving that in Patras a particularly important project is being carried out in the field of dance education.
Perfectly worked choreographies, modern and classical, perfect dance level, performances that touched professionalism, stormy musical rhythms from latin, flamenco, tango, salsa, k-pop, commercial, cheerleading, reggaeton and many other genres, classical and modern and of course the codes of the body became the mosaics of a unique mosaic of sound and image, which evolved into a real feast for the senses.
It is worth noting that in addition to the adult presences who danced, in many cases the young dancers of the schools were recruited, who gave their best, proving that dance has no age.
Dance, an element completely intertwined with the identity and personality of the Patron Carnival, is a source of vitality and fun that emerges in every activity of the city’s great fiesta. The event of the dance schools in George I square was one of the most interesting versions.
