Agyia – Terpsithea was “present” in the leading custom of Patras, securing a new institution and participating in all the events of the Patron Carnival.
The squares and streets of the neighborhood “came alive”, the routine and monotony were broken and topical issues were highlighted. The issue of the privatization of the common, free lands of nature (such as the Plage beach and part of the beachfront for a luxury yacht marina) became an “issue” and proved that satire has a social background capable of subverting and creating resistance.
The Cultural Association of Agyia – Terpsithea expresses warm congratulations to the residents of Agyia for their participation and their original performances, to the friends who attended, the children and young people who made the parade their own with their enthusiasm, the professionals of the neighborhood who gave color in their own way.
Furthermore, they thank all the Parents & Guardians Associations of the area: 16th, 35th, 48th, 49th and 64th Primary, 21st and 13th High School, 9th High School, the Municipality of Patras and its services, KEDIP – Patras Carnival with the Carnival Workshop for concession of the two chariots and the photo booths, the Hellenic Police, the Red Cross and the “IASON” Sailing Sports Club.
Special thanks for their valuable collaboration to Ritmo Loco street band, X-Saltibagos, Penny and Antonis Theodosiou from Theodosiou – Photography, film & design and Telemachos Tsouramanis and Ilias Diamantakos from six.for.one photography
