The Association of Women with Breast Cancer – “LIFE LEAP” N. Achaia invites the citizens of Patras to a pink walk of life and hope. Join us in ‘painting’ the town pink, again, to inform, raise awareness and highlight the enormous value and importance of Breast Cancer Prevention and Early Diagnosis.
The walk will start at 11.30 am from Psilalonia and will end at Agios Nikolaos Pier, after crossing Gounari, Riga Feraios and Agios Nikolaos streets. It will be preceded by an opening ceremony with a children’s choir, events, greetings, etc., which will start at 10.30 am.
With this event, the club’s actions for the month of October, a month internationally dedicated to breast cancer awareness, culminate.

There will also be events during the walk, at various points along the route.
Arrival at Patras Pier and closing ceremony (awards, music, dance).
The event is attended by:
- the children’s choir of music teacher Amalia Antonopoulos
- the Katerina Stavropoulou School of Dance
- gymnast Christos Pagoulatos and his team
- the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Polyphonic Choir of Patras under the direction of conductor Giorgos Bourdopoulos,
- The percussion group “KrustAlites” of Nikos Forlidas.

TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
The General Regional Police Directorate of Western Greece informs the citizens that as part of an event (hike) of the Women’s Association with breast cancer “ALMA ZOIS”, on Sunday 10-20-2024 in Patras, the following traffic regulations will be implemented in order to facilitating traffic and preventing traffic accidents:
1. Partial obstruction of vehicle trafficon Sunday (20-10-2024) from 12:30 to 13:30, on Agios Andreou and Othonos Amalias streets at the height of their intersection with Agios Nikolaos street.
2. Suspension of traffic of all vehicles on Sunday (20-10-2024) in the following sections of the streets:
a) Gounari from Sissini to Agios Andreou (from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).
b) Karatza from Sissini to Athanasiou Diakos (from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.).
c) Athanasiou Diakou from Gounari to Karatza (from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.).
d) Korinthos from Miaoulis to Gounari (from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).
3. Prohibition of parking of all vehicles on Sunday (20-10-2024) from 07:00-13:00 on the following sections of the streets:
a) Athanasiou Diakos (lower part of Ypsilon Alonia square) from Karatza and along the entire length of the square.
b) Karatza (on the side of Ypsilon Alonia square) from Sissini to Athanasiou Diakos.
4. Due to the holding of the event (hiking), the routes of the KTEL Prefecture of Achaia are modified, as follows: from Patra to Western Achaia they will pass through Othonos Amalias, P.E.O. Patron-Pyrgou (they will not pass through Maizonos Street).
Drivers are requested to comply with the instructions of the traffic police and to observe the Road Traffic Code.
