The theater-loving public of Patras on the evening of Tuesday 30/07/2024, for the second day suffocatingly filled the Municipal Summer Theater in order to monitor eemblematic tragedy of Euripides “Heracles the Raging”.

The International festival hosted an exciting performance in performances centered on Herakles. On the stage of the theater “emerged” the mythical person who fell down and was crushed painfully, turning from a demigod into a miasma, through a merciless game of the Gods.

The work, with its strong political ramifications, illuminated the inadequacy and the “littleness” of human existence in the face of a higher power – whether it is called Regime Tyranny or God – that destroys the human will and vanishes it into non-existence

The show was directed by Dimitris Karantzas starring him Pygmaliona Dadakarides, George Gallos, Stefania Gouliotis, Iro Bezou, Anna Kalaitzidou, Yannis Klinis, Aineia Tsamatis, Nikos Milia, Gal Robisa, Babis Galiatsatos, Thanasis Raftopoulos, Antonis Antonopoulos.

The music was by Fotis Siotas who, in a prominent role on stage, plunged the audience into the existential anguish of Euripides’ emblematic tragedy.

The performance was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Culture Apostolis Aggelis, municipal and district councilors and members of the Board of Directors of Municipal Organizations.
