The head of the municipal faction “Patra Enomeni” Kostas Svolis refers to the situation regarding the special schools of the Municipality, especially in the housing part, with his announcement, presenting the current picture and posing a series of questions to the mayor Kostas Peletidis.
As stated in a statement: “The housing problem of schools must be a primary goal in the thinking and plans of the administration, at central and self-governing level.
A dominant issue in our city is the housing of the special schools in our area. Both the EN.E.E.GY.L. of Patras as well as the E.E.E.EK. of Achaia are facing significant space issues with a negative impact on their operation and on their students.
According to what was announced at a recent meeting of the Municipal Council, the Municipal Authority has proceeded to find two plots of land for the schools in question, while at the same time it has been proposed, as a solution for the ENEGYL. Patras, the concession of a building behind the Kato Kastritsi Primary School, on behalf of the University of Patras. It was also highlighted the intention of the Municipal Authority to use it for housing the ENEGYL. Patras, the site of the 1st EPAS in Zavlani (Achaikis Sympoliteias 20) and the idea of utilizing the former 409 Military Hospital of Patras was also proposed by our faction “Patra Enomeni”.

- This competent committee has been convened to give an opinion on the suitability of the above premises in order to solve the issue of the housing of EN.E.E.GY.L. of Patras and E.E.E.EK. Achaia?
- Which are the two plots of land that the Municipal Authority is considering for the construction of classrooms for the special schools in our area?”.
