Hundreds of music lovers in Patras enjoyed on the evening of Thursday July 4th a unique journey “To the 5 winds” which started at the Municipal Summer Theater and spread throughout the city.
Stefanos Korkolis, Sofia Manousaki, the historic Corfu philharmonic “OMONIA”, 100 children from the musical high school of Patras, the Amabile mixed choir of the city with 75 choristers, had a special musical encounter through which they left their own imprint that it will long be etched in the minds of all those who were lucky enough to attend the concert.
The Historical Philharmonic of Corfu, on the occasion of the completion of 126 years since its foundation, with honorary conductor Stefanos Korkolis, celebrated the 30 years of operation of the Music High School of Patras as well as the completion of thirty years since the establishment of music schools throughout Greece.
On the stage of the Municipal Summer Theater of the Achaean capital and in the context of the events of the International Festival, a musical rite unfolded dominated by lyricism, fantasy, love, passion, intoxicating rhythms and emotionally charged melodies, ballads and songs of extroverted moods .
Songs such as “Dust and crumbs”, “You’re not here”, “To the five winds”, “My angel”, “Every time you look at me”, “I’ve fallen in love with you”, “Laterna”, “Hundred times pieces” were heard ”, “You want”, “Swise to feggari”, “Sometimes” but also songs by Leonard Cohen, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Donna Summer, Giorgos Dimitriadis, Antonis Mitzelou, and others.
The concert was attended by municipal and district councilors and the president of the DIPETHE of Patras, Lydia Karathanasopoulou, who had a meeting with the artists.
The concert was held in co-organization with the International Festival of Patras.
