Phil Stringer, from the Greensboro area of New York, is a patient person: he was the only one who waited 17 hours and 52 minutes for his scheduled flight from Oklohoma City to Charlotte last Monday. It was almost 18 hours late.
Stringer soon found that all of the other passengers had either taken a different flight or skipped the delayed plane. Now Stringer should fly as the only one. But he took it with humor.
On TikTok, he jokes how he bought up all the seats on the plane so he wouldn’t “have to deal with people.” The crew was also in a good mood and gave their VIP guest their full attention.
“We joked, we laughed, we made jokes,” Stringer told WSOC-TV. The passenger and crew kept in touch even after the flight. They exchanged phone numbers and continued to text and engage in group messaging.
