The no-confidence vote in the National Assembly took place at midnight, just minutes before the Supreme Court’s ultimatum. The Supreme Court and the Islamabad High Court had made preparations for the midnight sitting for court action. The move was to arrest the speaker and deputy speaker if they violated the ultimatum.
