Pathanamthitta Makaravilak 2023: Rituals, Schedule, and Darshan Details

Pathanamthitta: Makaravilak was lit at Ponnambalamed as a blessing to the devotees who were waiting with cries of refuge. Makaravilakam was lit at Ponnambalamed following Tiruvabharanam Charti Diparadhanaya around 6.45 pm. The Thiruvabharan procession reached Sannidhanam by six o’clock. After that, Tiruvabharanam was placed on the Ayyappa idol and lamp worship was held. Devotees flock in and around Sannidhanam to see Makarajyoti. Strong security arrangements have been made in the temple premises. There are ten viewpoints to see Makarjyoti.
